Maple Leafs’ Babcock vows to address post-whistle ‘fooling around’
The Toronto Maple Leafs' offense erupted for four goals Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres, but head coach Mike Babcock was critical of the team's post-whistle shenanigans.

The Maple Leafs potted four regulation goals for just the second time in their last 17 games, but Babcock was clearly more focused on the team's rough stuff after the whistle.
"Well, I think we're obviously going to look after that in the offseason, I can promise you that," he said, according to TSN's Mark Masters. "There'll be none of that fooling around going on. But, we're a group, obviously we don't have a lot of that now, but we'll get that fixed."
Babcock was also cautious in giving out too much credit to his young roster despite the team collecting its third win in four games, and appeared to take a jab at the opposition.
"One of the things you have to be real careful of this time of the year is when you're a non-playoff team is over-evaluating what you have because the team is playing against you some nights isn't prepared to play," he said, according to Jonas Siegel of The Canadian Press.
Babcock said there would be pain this season, and it appears wins won't deter that.

VIDEO: Stars’ Eaves steals puck, goes end-to-end for breakaway goal
The Dallas Stars might be just fine without Tyler Seguin.
Patrick Eaves scored a highlight-reel goal against the New York Islanders on Saturday night, pulling off an impressive steal of the puck in his own zone, skating undeterred into the other end, and converting his own rebound on a breakaway.
Eaves, Ales Hemsky, and Cody Eakin provided all of the game's offense as the Stars defeated the Islanders 3-0.

Milan Michalek put on a show Saturday, scoring his first goal as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Michalek strategically toe-dragged around Buffalo Sabres defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo before firing a shot through goaltender Chad Johnson.
The goal was the final dagger in the Maple Leafs' 4-1 victory. Michalek now has a combined seven goals and 13 points in 39 games split between the Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators.

Senators score three short-handed goals in 5-0 win over Canadiens
History: Canadiens allow 3 shorthanded goals in 1 game for the 1st time
The Montreal Canadiens made history Saturday, but they'd rather not have.
The shorthanded-happy Ottawa Senators scored three times while down a man, something that hadn't been done against the Canadiens. Ever.

The Senators came into the game with a league-leading 12 shorthanded goals, and they're up to 15 now. Jean-Gabriel Pageau, in particular, is feasting on Montreal. He has four goals against the Canadiens this season, and three of them are shorties.
Montreal's now allowed 11 shorthanded goals, second-most in the NHL. They lost 5-0.
