Canucks reveal Henrik Sedin played through broken finger
Vancouver Canucks captain Henrik Sedin missed eight games this season, but it's a wonder he didn't sit out more.
Canucks president Trevor Linden revealed in a press conference Tuesday that Sedin suffered a broken finger at some point during the campaign, but played through it.
Linden didn't indicate when the injury occurred.
Sedin's 74 games played were the second-lowest total for him over an 82-game season. His career low came in 2013-14, when he suited up for 70 contests.
The 35-year-old still topped 50 points for 10th time in his career, totaling 55.

Canucks prospect Brock Boeser returning to North Dakota next season
Vancouver Canucks fans will have to wait a bit longer for the services of Brock Boeser.
Fresh off winning a national championship, Boeser announced he will return to the Fighting Hawks for his sophomore season.
Boeser was outstanding in his first season at North Dakota, scoring 27 goals and chipping in 33 assists in 42 games. He also scored the game-winning goal in the national championship game against Quinnipiac.
The Minnesota native was selected 23rd overall by the Canucks in the 2015 draft.

VIDEO: Canucks’ Dorsett ejected for spraying water at Oilers’ Maroon
Derek Dorsett saved one of his best performances of the season for game No. 82, posting his second multi-point game of the year, but his night ended early after receiving a misconduct in the third period.
The 29-year-old was ejected after spraying Edmonton Oilers forward Patrick Maroon - who just scored the game-tying goal - with water, while both players were sitting on their respective benches.
Luckily for Dorsett, the Canucks got the last laugh with a 4-3, shootout victory.

VIDEO: Canucks’ Markstrom makes save of the year in Game 82
Vancouver Canucks goaltender Jacob Markstrom waited until the last game of the season to make the save of the year.
The 26-year-old made a sensational glove stop on Edmonton Oilers forward Jordan Eberle early in the second period of Saturday's game to preserve his team's 1-0 lead.
However good the save was though, the Canucks will still finish this season with the third-worst record in the league.
