March 6 2024 – Darren Dreger & Frank Corrado

Matt and Blake discuss the latest trade deadline rumblings and the arms race igniting in the West. Canucks' exploration of a Elias Lindholm for Jake Guentzel deal, Vancouver's interest in Arizona winger Jason Zucker, Vasily Podkolzin being sent down, the Avalanche adding Sean Walker and Casey Mittelstadt (while parting with two B.C. boys), the Oilers adding Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick, Vegas getting Anthony Mantha, the Kings positioning themselves, a buyer's market shaping up (great for Vancouver) are all topics. As are the 2-1 overtime win in L.A., the miraculous Thatcher Demko save, Petey & J.T. stepping up when needed, and the boring Kings style.

Darren Dreger jumps on to discuss the "salacious" report about a 3-team deal with Boston and Pittsburgh involving Lindholm & Guentzel. Dreger says the Canucks are still checking in on the defence market but won't likely be bringing an ex-Canuck winger back. He comments on the Canucks being aggressive, the shaping-up of a buyer's market, targets with term such as David Savard and Frank Vatrano, what's happening in Calgary with ex-Canuck Jacob Markstrom and Noah Hanifin, and his thoughts on the Canucks' glorious season to date and chances in the postseason.

Frank Corrado hops on and says the Canucks now "must" trade Lindholm. That word leaking that they are exploring a Guentzel deal using Lindholm as bait means genie is out of the bottle and there's no going back, Frank evaluates why Lindholm hasn't worked out, Guentzel's fit, the prices paid for Anthony Mantha and Vladimir Tarasenko, and the availability of Vatrano, Savard. March 5 2024 – Gary Mason & John Shannon

Deadline Day minus 3! The trade targets are coming fast and furious for the Canucks, and around the league, and today Matt and Blake wonder how far the team is ready to go before Friday. Is there a player that would peel free Jonathan Lekkerimäki? Or Tom Willander?” Or even a soon-to-be 20-goal scorer in Nils Höglander?

The Globe and Mail’s Gary Mason stops by for a walk down memory lane on the last time the Canucks were in this position, plus after years of losing, is ownership pushing an aggressive deadline week?

John Shannon has his take on the trade pace around the league, and gives us his player choice for the Canucks to acquire before the end of the week.

All that, plus a crazy day of moves around the NFL as well! Presented by Applewood Auto Group.

March 4 2024 – Irfaan Gaffar & Jeff Paterson

Blake returns and joins Matt in discussing which wingers work best for the Canucks before trade deadline. The guys talked about the 2-1 win in Anaheim, the needed performance from Casey DeSmith, the return of Vasily Podkolzin, the continued evolution of Nils Höglander, the loss of Tyler Myers to injury, how much the roster has changed since they last played in Anaheim, the struggles of the Hughes-Hronek defence pair over the last month, and the good health of the club throughout the season. They also look back on Elias Pettersson's contract extension and point forward to teams on the verge of joining the sellers.

Irf Gaffar joins to discuss how active the Canucks will be by trade deadline, the biggest needs, the targets, the competition (EDM, VGK). They discuss Jake Guentzel, Tyler Toffoli, Frank Vatrano & Jordan Greenway. Irf gives his wish list, talks about the surprise developments with Pettersson last week, provides his take on the Elias Lindholm acquisition, and predicts what's to happen with Phil Kessel.

March 1 2024 – Patrick Johnston & Axel Schuster

Matt and Jeff discuss the 5-1 loss to the Kings and whether their play over the last fortnight is a blip or something deeper, as the Canucks fall out of first place in the overall league standings. They talk about Rick Tocchet's harsh comments on his team, 6-7 guys not going, "egregious" details, having "lost" their staples of playing without the puck, that Elias Pettersson needs to get going, the criticism of Quinn Hughes and Filip Hronek. They analyze the events of this week on the Pettersson contract front: the Carolina offer, the Canucks drawing a line in the sand to eliminate the distraction for club and player alike, and speculate on the length and value of the contract. They also discuss the latest trade deadline reports, evaluate the market, size up Patrik Allvin's comments to in-house media about targets and prospect Jonathan Lekkerimäki, plus shout out the 2024 inductees to the B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame.

Patrick Johnston joins to discuss the loss to L.A., the recent run of play, Tocchet's mood, Hughes' struggles, sagging goaltending, plus the saga of Pettersson this week, and his trade deadline wish list.

Axel Schuster, Whitecaps CEO, joins to talk about Saturday's home/season opener vs Charlotte. He talks about an improved team, new players, where he wants to get better, goals for the season, new captain Ryan Gauld, Mike D'Agostino filling in for a suspended Vanni Sartini, and the great enthusiasm in the market with a crowd of roughly 30,000 expected at B.C. Place. Presented by Applewood Auto Group.

February 29 2024 – Frank Seravalli & Rob Williams

Matt and Jeff discuss Frank Seravalli's report that Elias Pettersson is now ready to talk extension with the Canucks, and that the sides are considering an eight-year deal. They discuss what brought this about, whether the noise in the market was a contributing factor, fans and media getting anxious, head coach Rick Tocchet musing that it might be a distraction and effected his play, even the surging popularity of J.T. Miller? The guys also discuss the Chris Tanev trade and whether the Canucks missed out, while turning attention to other defencemen on the market. What kind of defenceman they need with Carson Soucy on the comeback trail. The penalties, they are a problem. Tocchet's comments on punishing players who take too many, as well as opposing players snapping their heads and drawing penalties. Canucks once had that rep, is it gone now?

Seravalli joins to flesh out his Pettersson report, Frank also talks about the Tanev deal, whether the Canucks were in it until the end, and whether the Flames did well on the return. Frank tells us about the Canucks interest in Minnesota Wild winger Brandon Duhaime, and floats a potential destination for ex-Canuck Tyler Toffoli, who might be on the move by next Friday's trade deadline.

Rob Williams stops by and says finally (finally!) we have an indication that Pettersson wants to stay in Vancouver. Rob discuss what fans were saying this week as trade rumours began, while touching on the Tanev deal and the struggles of Elias Lindholm since his acquisition. Presented by Applewood Auto Group.

February 28 2024 – Frank Corrado & Harman Dayal

Matt and JPat discuss the overtime loss to the Pens, another magnificent game from J.T. Miller, whether they were wrong about Miller, the crowd chanting his name and J.T. playing dumb, Rick Tocchet saying he needs more guys going while singling out Miller as the exception, Nils Höglander reaching 200 NHL games and his continued development with some good (another goal) and some bad (culpability on tying goal), Elias Lindholm's struggles, Arshdeep Bains' first week in the NHL, that vaunted third line and how it is now split up and looking lost, the penalties and whether referees have a vendetta, a good night for the fourth line (when they needed it), and Tocchet saying power-play guys need a breather from each other (and whether Miller and Elias Pettersson were the two guys in question).

Frank Corrado joins to talk about Miller, his pulling guys into the fight and how you can see the confidence brimming. He breaks down the struggles of Quinn Hughes and Lindholm, and whether the latter is a positional fit with the rest of the top-6. He comments on the workload of his old defence partner, and gives us his trade-deadline wish-list player.

Harman Dayal stops by and tells us why the Canucks are taking so many penalties. He comments on Miller, Lindholm, Bains and gives us his trade-deadline wish-list player. Presented by Applewood Auto Group.

February 27 2024 – John Shannon & Jeff Paterson (co-hosting)

Matt and guest co-host Jeff Paterson of Rink Wide: Vancouver muse over Elias Pettersson trades, and whether it's time to start wondering what those could look like this summer. They discuss Elias Lindholm's mediocre start as a Canuck, where he fits best in the lineup. Thatcher Demko's workload is a topic, as is new power play formations at morning skate and whether Phil Kessel is the tonic for that struggling unit. Other topics include: the game against the Penguins, interest in Brandon Duhaime or players like him and whether they need one for the playoffs; the Dallas Star gaining cap space as a team to watch before the deadline, and the Boston Bruins' scratching a veteran defenceman and on the lookout for a blue-liner before next week's deadline.

John Shannon joins to discuss the Pettersson impasse. He says he doesn't believe the Canucks are considering a trade -- even this summer. John talks about his Canucks' team MVP, Chris Tanev and the available Flames, the Blues' and Predators' deadline plans, and Sidney Crosby memories from 2010. Presented by Applewood Auto Group.

Miller and who is team MVP?; the return of the Green Men & the energy at Rogers Arena; teams calling about Elias Pettersson & why he isn't willing to re-sign ATM; stacking the three centres and giving them their own lines; the play of Arshdeep Bains on multiple lines and with no practices; Vancouver's interest in Wild winger Brandon Duhaime; and a potential makeover for that 4th line.
