The deal carries an average annual value of $2 million, reports Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.

Jost, 23, appeared in 54 games with the Avalanche last season. He recorded seven goals and 10 assists.

"Tyson took a big step last year and was a key contributor to our team. He has worked hard to improve his game and earn a spot in our lineup," general manager Joe Sakic said. Krejci leaves Bruins after 14 seasons to play in Czech Republic

David Krejci's time with the Boston Bruins has come to an end.

The 35-year-old announced on Friday that he's heading overseas to play in his home country of the Czech Republic. He's spent the last 14 seasons with the Bruins.

"Since the end of the season, as I have thought about my future, it has become clear that I need to make a difficult decision for my family and I," Krejci said. "At this point in my career and life, I need to return to the Czech Republic and play in front of my family who sacrificed so much to help me achieve my NHL dreams. I want to play in front of my parents, brother, and friends. I want my children to live where I grew up, and spend time with so many Czech family members who love them and create lifelong memories."

Krejci has spent his entire career with the Bruins since being drafted by the club in the second round in the 2004 NHL Draft. He's scored 215 goals and added 515 assists in 962 career games. He helped guide the club to a Stanley Cup victory in 2011 when he had 23 points in 25 playoff games.

He's been a model of consistency for the Bruins over his career, producing year in and year out. Last season, he managed eight goals and 36 assists in 51 games. He hit the 50-point mark in eight different campaigns and notched 60-plus six times.

"So for now, I want to thank all the Bruins fans for the support they have shown my family and I over the last 14 years," he said. "I will forever be thankful.

"This is not goodbye, I will not be a stranger. I will be a Bruin forever. I will see you at the TD Garden soon, and I will always bleed black and gold."

Kevyn Adams: Sabres ‘don’t feel any pressure’ to trade Eichel

Buffalo Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams isn't in a rush to trade his franchise star Jack Eichel.

"What’s critically important to make sure is clear is that we’re in control of this process,” Adams said Thursday, according to The Athletic's John Vogl. “We have a player under contract. We don’t feel any pressure. If there’s a deal out there that we feel is the right thing for the Buffalo Sabres that’s going to help us improve - whether that’s improve right away or improve down the road, those are all the things weigh - we’d be open to it.

“But we’re not in a position where we feel we’re just going to do something to do it. That doesn’t make any sense.”

Eichel has been the subject of trade rumors for months. After how his neck injury was treated, the 24-year-old expressed there's a disconnect between him and the club. His status for the upcoming season is still uncertain.

Earlier this week, Eichel's agents said they expect the forward will be traded in the "near future." They were responding to Adams saying he would have "no problem" with Eichel still being with the club to begin training camp.

Adams confirmed he's still often discussing a potential trade with teams, and there's still a market for Eichel. But with the majority of this year's top free agents now signed, the number of potential suitors appears to be dwindling.

Eichel has recorded 139 goals and 216 assists over 375 career games. There are five years remaining on his contract with a $10-million cap hit per season, and a no-movement clause that kicks in after the upcoming campaign.

The Boston Bruins traded goaltender Dan Vladar to the Calgary Flames in exchange for a third-round pick, the team announced Wednesday.

Vladar, 23, would have been required to pass through waivers if sent to the AHL, according to DailyFaceoff's Frank Seravalli. Meanwhile, goaltender Jeremy Swayman is exempt from waivers.

The Bruins drafted Vladar with the 75th pick in 2015. He appeared in five games last season, recording a .886 save percentage and 3.40 goals-against average.

Nick Ritchie, Pius Suter among players who didn’t receive qualifying offers

A number of notable players did not receive qualifying offers prior to Monday's 5 p.m. ET deadline and are now unrestricted free agents.

The Boston Bruins announced they did not make a qualifying offer to forward Nick Ritchie, which would have been $2 million, per CapFriendly. Boston also did not extend a qualifying offer to forward Ondrej Kase.

Ritchie, 25, had an impressive year with the Bruins in his first full campaign with the club. He scored 15 goals and added 11 assists in 56 games. Kase, 25, only appeared in nine regular-season games with Boston over the past two seasons due to injury.

The Chicago Blackhawks announced they didn't extend qualifying offers to Pius Suter, Adam Gaudette, David Kampf, and Josh Dickinson. Shortly after the deadline, the team inked Gaudette to a one-year contract worth $997.5K, according to The Athletic's Mark Lazerus.

Suter, 25, finished his first year in the NHL after coming from Switzerland. He had 14 goals and 13 assists in 55 games.

Other notable names who did not receive qualifying offers include Edmonton Oilers forwards Dominik Kahun and Jujhar Khaira, San Jose Sharks forward Ryan Donato, New York Islanders forward Michael Dal Colle, and Anaheim Ducks forward Danton Heinen.

All players who did not receive qualifying offers will hit the open market on Wednesday, but a deal can still come to fruition with their respective clubs beforehand.

Jets re-sign Stastny to 1-year, $3.75M deal

The Winnipeg Jets re-signed forward Paul Stastny to a one-year contract worth $3.75 million, the team announced Monday.

Stastny, 35, scored 13 goals and added 16 assists last season. It was his first campaign back with the club after spending two seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights. Stastny played with the Jets for 19 regular-season games in 2018 when he was acquired at the trade deadline.

At five-on-five last season, Stastny ranked third among Jets skaters with a 49.89 Corsi For rating and fourth with a 49.69 expected goals for percentage.
