Watch: Predators fans strap catfish to their backs, hurl them on ice

It's a tradition many are aware of, but few know the slimy sacrifices required to make it happen.

Four Nashville Predators fans continued the ritual of tossing catfish on the ice Tuesday night before Game 3 against the Anaheim Ducks at Bridgestone Arena, and the next day, they provided video evidence of how they accomplished the feat.

Austin Casselman, Wes Collins, and two friends strapped three catfish - weighing between 12-18 pounds each - to their backs, brought them into the area, and threw them on the ice, as they later explained to local station WKRN.

They weren't too concerned the smell would blow their cover.

"I was more worried about the bulkiness in the back (of the jersey)," Collins said. "You kind of got to be strategic how you stand to make the shirt fluff out."

Surely, Mike Fisher is proud of them.
