The Boston Bruins reportedly dealt for forward depth prior to the trade deadline, adding Tommy Wingels from the Chicago Blackhawks, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
The return is reportedly a fifth-round pick, according to Jay Zawaski of 670 The Score in Chicago.
Wingels is a 29-year-old winger who recorded seven goals and five assists in 57 games for Chicago this season.
He was also a member of the 2016 San Jose Sharks team that advanced to the Stanley Cup Final.
