Senators preparing for frigid outdoor game

The Montreal Canadiens won't be the Ottawa Senators' only enemy when the teams head outdoors for the NHL100 Classic.

Players and coaches will have to endure frigid conditions Saturday night at TD Place Stadium, with weather forecasts calling for temperatures around 3 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 16 Celsius), the NHL announced. With that in mind, Sens players are already working on ways to combat the cold.

"I can't even pronounce the thing that goes over your head. It's sounds like a dessert - a balaclava or whatever," Bobby Ryan said to TSN's Ian Mendes.

"There are going to be moments we wish we were inside," Erik Karlsson added, according to TSN's Frank Seravalli.

While trying to stay warm on the ice, the Sens will also be looking to start a winning streak coming off a victory over the Rangers on Wednesday.
