The New York Islanders will have to try and secure a playoff spot without Ryan Strome.
The young forward broke his wrist during Wednesday's game against the Rangers and will be sidelined for several weeks, reports Arthur Staple of Newsday. Strome is therefore unlikely to play again this season unless the Islanders go on a deep run.
Staple adds that either Shane Prince or Alan Quine are likely to take Strome's spot in the lineup.
Strome had been playing some decent hockey of late, recording six goals and nine assists in 24 games since the beginning of February.
