Down a goal, Lundqvist told teammates ‘there is no way we are losing’

Henrik Lundqvist was winning No. 400 at home, at Madison Square Garden, the mecca, in front of New York Rangers faithful. And he had no doubt.

Lundqvist became the 12th goalie in NHL history - and the first European - to win 400 games, the milestone victory coming against the Colorado Avalanche, a 4-2 decision. And "The King" called his shot:

The Avs were up 2-1 after 40 minutes, but the Rangers scored three times in the third to get their goalie the win he craved.

"I really wanted to get this win in front of the fans because they've meant a lot to me over the 12 years," Lundqvist said, according to NHL.com's Dan Rosen. "You hear the crowd (and) you get goosebumps. It was just like my first game here when they chanted my name."

Lundqvist and his mates have won five in a row, and are yet to be defeated in February. The Rangers are in Columbus on Monday and in Brooklyn on Thursday.
