Hockey bonds run deep.

Vancouver Canucks forward Sven Baertschi is paying tribute to former junior teammate Craig Cunningham by putting the latter's nickname on his stick tape for Wednesday's game.

The pair played together as members of the Portland Winterhawks back in 2010-11.

Cunningham remains in stable but critical condition after collapsing prior to an AHL game on Nov. 19.
