Calgary Flames defenseman Oliver Kylington will play on Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the team announced. It'll be his first game since the second round of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Kylington missed the entire 2022-23 season and the first half of the current campaign to focus on his mental health. He returns to the Flames' lineup after an AHL conditioning stint and is projected to occupy the left side of the third pairing, where he'll play beside Jordan Oesterle.
In 2021-22, his last full season, Kylington posted career highs in games played (73), points (31), and average ice time (18:10). Calgary selected him in the second round in the 2015 draft, and he's made 168 career appearances for the club.
