Dallas Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen is week-to-week with an undisclosed injury after leaving Thursday's loss to the Colorado Avalanche early due to a collision with goaltender Scott Wedgewood, head coach Pete DeBoer said, per The Athletic's Saad Yousuf.
Heiskanen will undergo further testing Friday. DeBoer said the injury won't require surgery and isn't season-threatening for the club's No. 1 blue-liner.
The Stars are already without starting netminder Jake Oettinger, who's been week-to-week since mid-December.
Heiskanen has recorded 27 points in 37 games this season and ranks sixth among all NHL blue-liners in average ice time at 25:03.
