Boston Bruins star forward Brad Marchand has been placed on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list and won't play in Saturday's matinee versus the Buffalo Sabres, the team announced.
Here are the Bruins' lines without their leading scorer:
Boston recently had two games postponed due to COVID-19 protocols. The club returned to the ice Thursday versus the New York Islanders.
Marchand has put together another strong campaign in 2021, posting 12 goals and 22 assists in 29 games while averaging nearly 19 minutes of ice time per contest.
The Bruins enter Saturday's clash fourth in the East Division with 37 points.
