San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane has been suspended three games for elbowing Winnipeg Jets defenseman Neal Pionk on Friday, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced on Saturday.
Kane received a two-minute minor for elbowing on the play, which came late in the third period. The Sharks managed to kill the penalty and hold on for a 3-2 win.
This marks Kane's fourth career suspension. He received a three-game ban for abuse of an official in the preseason, a one-game punishment for cross-checking in 2018, and he sat two contests for boarding in 2014.
