Flyers’ Farabee suspended 3 games for hit on Jets’ Perreault

Philadelphia Flyers forward Joel Farabee has been banned three contests for interference on Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Monday.

Officials assessed Farabee a five-major penalty and a game misconduct Sunday after he caught Perreault with a late, high hit behind the play.

Perreault had to be helped off the ice.

Farabee's suspension further hampers a Flyers club that's already without Travis Konecny, Nolan Patrick, and Oskar Lindblom up front.

The 19-year-old rookie has collected 11 points in 27 games.
