The Tampa Bay Lightning will officially be the top seed in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Lightning clinched the Presidents' Trophy - awarded annually to the team with the best record - with a 4-1 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Monday night.
Tampa Bay accomplished the feat with nine games remaining in the regular season, and improved its record to 56-13-4.
Since the Presidents' Trophy was first handed out in 1985-86, only the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings clinched the hardware in fewer games than this season's Lightning, doing so in 71 contests.
