With a 4-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings, the Toronto Maple Leafs picked up their 45th win of the season to tie their franchise record for most wins in a season on Saturday night.
The 45 wins matches the marks set by the club during the 1998-99, 1999-00, and 2003-04 season. Meanwhile, the club also tied their franchise record for home wins in a season with their 26th of the year.
Further the team also extended their home winning streak to 13 games which also stands as a franchise-best.
The Maple Leafs now sit with 97 points on the year, six points shy of the franchise record of 103 set during the 2003-04 season. With seven games still to play, the team has ample time
