The New York Rangers have traded defenseman Ryan McDonagh and J.T. Miller to the Tampa Bay Lightning, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
In return, the Rangers reportedly acquired Libor Hajek, Brett Howden, Vladislav Namestnikov, a 2018 first-round pick, and a conditional second-round pick, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
The Lightning had long been rumored to want McDonagh after it was reported Tampa Bay wasn't on his 10-team no-trade list.
McDonagh - signed through next season - gives the Lightning a solid boost to their back end.
