Dallas Stars play-by-play announcer Dave Strader will return to the broadcast booth for the team's upcoming five-game homestand while he fights cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Strader has been sidelined this season while undergoing cancer treatment, but a break will allow him to be in Dallas for the homestand, the team announced.
- vs. Tampa Bay - Saturday, Feb. 18
- vs. Arizona - Friday, Feb. 24
- vs. Boston - Sunday, Feb. 26 (Radio only)
- vs. Pittsburgh - Tuesday, Feb. 28
- vs. New York Islanders - Thursday, March 2
Daryl "Razor" Reaugh has been calling games this season in Strader's absence and will resume his duties as the color analyst for the five games.
Following the short run in the booth, Strader will return to upstate New York to continue treatment.
