Jimmy Vesey busted out of his mini-scoring slump in a big way.
The New York Rangers rookie scored the eventual game-winner against the Columbus Blue Jackets, going from his backhand to his forehand and beating goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky with an impressive goal in the third period of Monday's game.
Vesey had gone five games without a point, and Monday's marker was only his second in his last 17 games.
Still, it was a big one, as it helped the Rangers draw even with the Blue Jackets with 75 points in the standings, albeit with one more game played than Columbus.
