Michael Grabner is back.
The New York Rangers winger has recaptured his scoring touch after slumping through the season's dog days, rebounding in a big way over the past six weeks:
Month | GP | Goals | Points | Goals/GP |
---|---|---|---|---|
October | 9 | 5 | 6 | 0.56 |
November | 15 | 7 | 10 | 0.47 |
December | 13 | 2 | 3 | 0.15 |
January | 10 | 7 | 9 | 0.70 |
February | 4 | 4 | 5 | 1.00 |
Only three players have scored more goals than Grabner this season: Max Pacioretty, Jeff Carter, and Sidney Crosby. Not bad company.
Grabner joined the Rangers on July 1, an under-the-radar free-agent signing after he scored just nine goals with the Toronto Maple Leafs a year ago.
The Austrian-born forward is signed through the 2017-18 campaign, carrying a bargain $1.65-million cap hit.
