Say it ain't so, Ovi.
Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin was held without a shot on goal in Thursday's win in Detroit, an incredible rarity.
In fact, it hasn't happened in nearly four years, dating back to March 12, 2013, according to Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post.
Ovechkin had just one shot attempt, per hockeystats.ca, and saw his lowest ice-time total of the season at 13:54.
Not to worry, though, the Capitals still earned their 11th straight win on home ice, and sit comfortably atop the Metropolitan Division with one more game before their league-mandated bye.
