The best social media managers never forget.
Nowhere was this more apparent than in Los Angeles on Sunday, where the Columbus Blue Jackets' social team dunked on the Washington Capitals with an impeccably timed zinger that called back to an awkward moment the Capitals' social team endured last month.
Sunday's scorching started oh so innocently.
Then came the destruction.
The picture wasn't a Face Swap, of course, and the Blue Jackets' rebuttal was a reference to the Capitals' uncomfortable exchange with a fan who took a selfie with her dad at a game in Washington back in December.
That photo wasn't a trading of faces either, and the Capitals claimed to be joking at the time when they complimented her and her father for the "great Face Swap."
Washington's social squad hasn't responded to Sunday's burn, because really, there's no comeback.
Well played as usual, Columbus.
