The Tampa Bay Lightning have lost Ben Bishop to injury, at least for the remainder of Tuesday's game against Detroit.
The netminder was forced to make an early exit after dropping to the ice following a pad save.
Andrei Vasilevskiy entered the game in relief, and skated out to begin the second period, signalling the end of Bishop's night.
Bishop was forced to miss the majority of the Eastern Conference Finals in June with a lower-body injury injury. He also suffered a dislocated elbow a week before the end of the regular season in 2014, and partially torn his groin during Game 2 of the 2015 Stanley Cup Final.
Bishop, 30, is set to become an unrestricted free agent at season's end.
