Phil Kessel's luck against the Toronto Maple Leafs didn't change for the better on Saturday.
As the Pittsburgh Penguins winger streaked in on a breakaway toward Maple Leafs netminder Frederik Andersen, his stick embarrassingly snapped as he tried to fire one of his patented snap shots past the goaltender during a 1-1 tie.
Since being acquired by the Penguins from the Maple Leafs in July 2015, the 29-year-old has failed to record a point against his former club.
He has still provided value to Pittsburgh, however, notching 90 points in 113 regular-season contests, as well as 22 points in 24 playoff games for them during their Stanley Cup run last season.
