It was an eventful night in Montreal.
The Canadiens scored five goals in just under nine minutes to open their contest versus the Colorado Avalanche, and tacked on five more for a monstrous 10-1 beatdown.
As usual, the Twittersphere was all over it.
The jokes began long before Montreal reached double digits:
the only thing missing from a @CanadiensMTL 9-1 lead after two periods vs @Avalanche is Patrick Roy walking of his own bench.

Habs 9, Avs 1, second period. First responders, if they can stop laughing, making way to Centre Bell.

The Blue Jackets are familiar with the feeling:
@CanadiensMTL sounds like fun!

And here are some more jokes:
I was pushed into a pool with wind chill at 7 degrees on Friday. STILL had better 48 hours than Colorado Avalanche.#Truth

If I were Brendan Gallagher, I'd be crying about not having a goal yet in this game.

If the Habs net was empty it would be 12-10 for the Avs right now.

Well, maybe not. Price would have scored a few as a forward.

Can't help but wonder what would be happening tonight if Patrick Roy was still coaching the Avalanche.
