Jonathan Quick will not go under the knife.
The Los Angeles Kings goaltender has decided against having surgery to repair his groin injury, the club told FOX Sports West's Jon Rosen on Wednesday.
Quick was originally given a week-to-week timetable, but he's now out indefinitely.

On Friday, Kings general manager Dean Lombardi said Quick's injury is in the same area as the groin strain he dealt with in 2013.
The 30-year-old netminder was forced to depart in the second period of the season opener last Wednesday.
Jeff Zatkoff has allowed nine goals in two starts filling in for Quick.
