Anaheim Ducks defender Simon Despres will see a specialist after suffering from symptoms typically associated with a head injury in the absence of recent trauma, Ducks general manager Bob Murray said Friday.
"There's something wrong here and we've got to get to the bottom of it," he said, according to Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register.
Murray didn't say Despres had a concussion, but referenced the concerns from last season, when he missed half the year with a diagnosed concussion.
Despres didn't take a shift in the third period in Anaheim's loss to the Dallas Stars on opening night.
