Price won’t join Canadiens for Saturday’s game

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price won't travel with the club for Saturday's game against the Ottawa Senators, the Canadiens confirmed Thursday night.

Price missed Thursday's season opener - a win over the Buffalo Sabres - due to illness.

Al Montoya stopped 30-of-31 shots for Montreal in the 4-1 victory.

Price played only 12 games last season due to injury.

The winner of the 2015 Hart and Vezina trophies led Canada to the World Cup of Hockey title last month.
