Oilers’ Davidson out ‘a while’ with lower-body injury

It appears Brandon Davidson's ailment is no minor issue.

Edmonton Oilers head coach Todd MacLellan spoke to reporters on Thursday where he noted Davidson will be out "a while" with a lower-body injury.

Davidson left Wednesday's season opener with an undisclosed injury and did not return for the third period.

In a corresponding move, the club recalled newly signed defenseman Eric Gryba from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors.

MacLellan also noted that defenseman Adam Larsson's absence from practice on Thursday was strictly for maintenance reasons.
