The Buffalo Sabres have signed free-agent forward Kyle Okposo to a seven-year, $42-million contract, according to multiple reports.
Okposo will bolster an already supremely talented Sabres top six, but should also provide a solid veteran presence and man the power play.
Although the specifics weren't released, Okposo's deal is heavily front-loaded, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.
At 28, Okposo is one of the top goal-scoring wingers in the league, and has registered more than 50 points in each of the past three seasons.
