The Calgary Flames have reportedly landed a backup goalie to spell newcomer Brian Elliott.
The Flames signed Chad Johnson to a one-year deal worth $1.7 million, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
The 30-year-old has appeared in 101 career NHL games, posting a save percentage of .917.
He played a career-high 45 games for the Buffalo Sabres this past season, with a record of 22-16-4 and a .920 save percentage.
