The Boston Bruins are keeping one of their trade-deadline acquisitions, and bringing back a former backup goaltender.
Defenseman John-Michael Liles has signed a one-year contract worth $2 million, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
The Bruins have also signed goalie Anton Khudobin to a two-year, $1.2-million deal, reports Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
The Bruins sent third- and fifth-round picks plus prospect Anthony Camara to the Carolina Hurricanes in order to acquire Liles this past season. In 17 games in Boston, the 35-year-old recorded six assists. For his career, he's averaging 0.46 points per game.
Khudobin appeared in 15 games for the Bruins before spending the past three seasons in Carolina and Anaheim. He has posted a .918 save percentage in 100 career games.
