Andrew Shaw's outburst has reportedly drawn the attention of the NHL.
The league has informed the Chicago Blackhawks that it is investigating Shaw's comments made late in Game 4 against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night, ESPN's Craig Custance reports.

Shaw appeared to direct a homophobic slur at an official on two separate occasions after being assessed an interference penalty with 2:04 remaining.
The first came after the whistle.
The second instance came while Shaw was in the penalty box.
He also flipped the double-bird at the official.
The NHL isn't expected to comment until the investigation is complete, according to the report.
