VIDEO: Goodbye, Rexall Place

There was a sign at the Edmonton Oilers' final game at Rexall Place on Wednesday that said it best: "That's Rexall, folks."

The Oilers said goodbye in fine fashion, winning one last time at the rink where multiple Stanley Cups were celebrated - and countless memories made.

Head coach Todd McLellan probably has a few regrets after his first season behind the Edmonton bench, but Wednesday night was special, and he knows it.

"The energy in the building was phenomenal," he said. "It was emotional. I've only been here for one year and it was emotional for me. I can’t imagine a season-ticket holder that’s been here for 40 years, how they felt. But it was a good way for our guys to thank them for their support. We haven't given them enough wins, but we performed (Wednesday) and I'm happy that we did."
